"...sounds that you can hardly believe you are fortunate enough to be hearing live." -Post and Courier
Charles Wadsworth, Spoleto Festival USA Artistic Director for Chamber Music – and a festival institution in his own right – bid adieu to his many adoring fans in his final season as director, pianist, and host of the chamber music concerts. Performed each morning and afternoon over the course of the 17-day festival, these delightful concerts featured many of the virtuoso musicians who have played with Wadsworth over the years, including the St. Lawrence String Quartet, pianists Anne-Marie McDermott and Stephen Prutsman, cellist Alisa Weilerstein, violists Hsin-yun Huang and Daniel Phillips and many others too numerous to name.
Additional support provided by The Robert and Janice McNair Foundation.
The St. Lawrence String Quartet is the Arthur and Holly Magill Quartet in Residence.
