The Carolina Chocolate Drops are widely credited with reviving the rich tradition of fiddle and banjo music from the Piedmont region of the Carolinas. Their 2008 appearance at Spoleto Festival USA was an unqualified success. “The Drops” returned to Charleston for the Festival Finale, capped off by the traditional spectacular fireworks display.
